About Us
Heidelberg Materials Malaysia
Formally known as Hanson Malaysia and then Hanson HeidelbergCement Malaysia, we are now Heidelberg Materials Malaysia.
Our main products comprise aggregates, asphalt, and ready mix concrete—core construction materials used in various building and infrastructure works. We also provide solutions and support to our customers for their construction projects.
Ready mix concrete, also known as premix concrete, is a precisely formulated mixture of cement, aggregates (such as sand and gravel), and water. It is prepared in a batching plant and delivered to construction sites in a ready-to-use form. This ensures consistent quality, minimizes on-site labor, and improves construction efficiency compared to traditional on-site mixing.
Cement is produced through a carefully controlled process carried out by a cement manufacturer. It begins with the extraction of raw materials such as limestone, clay, and sand from quarries. These materials are then crushed and blended in precise proportions before being fed into a rotary kiln. Inside the kiln, they are heated to temperatures of around 1,450°C, forming a substance called clinker. Once cooled, the clinker is finely ground with a small amount of gypsum to produce cement—a fine, grey powder used as a key ingredient in construction. As a leading cement manufacturer, Heidelberg Materials ensures this process meets strict quality and sustainability standards to deliver consistent, high-performance products.
